Technical Safety & Risk Management
Our dedicated engineering safety team provides the full range of risk assessment and loss prevention services and has developed a recognised expertise in health and safety (risk to people and assets), environmental risk and impact, facility lifecycle risk and project risk and mitigation solutions.
The team has the necessary tools, techniques and experience to perform a comprehensive hazard identification, consequence analysis, loss estimation and options analysis, which are a fundamental part of our engineered solutions. Typical services include:
• Reliability, availability and maintainability studies (RAM)
• Failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA formal safety assessments)
• Hazard identification and assessment (HAZID)
• Fire and explosion analysis, mitigation and protection
• Hazard and operability studies HAZOP (chairing, managing and conducting close-out)
Subsea
Subsea engineering is recognized by PISE as a key "building block" for most offshore developments these days. In particular, it is a key component for all deepwater fields.
To meet this need PISE has successfully developed a specialist subsea team, made up of mechanical, process, controls and installation engineers. The Company also holds corporate membership with the Society of Underwater Technology.
Work performed by PISE has encompassed economic appraisals, development strategies, feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, and operations support. This has covered manifolds, templates, pipelines, flowlines, risers and christmas trees, and has addressed issues such as, artificial lift, flow assurance and slugging. In addition PISE has also managed, inspection programmes, well workovers and interventions.
